Orange Slice Cake

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups unsalted butter, softened

2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup orange juice

2 teaspoons orange zest

2 cups chopped orange slice candy or similar candy

1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans optional


Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350F 175C. Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan or two 8-inch round cake pans.

In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the orange juice. Stir in the orange zest.
