Seared Scallops in Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce
Ingredients:
6 large sea scallops
Salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 clove garlic, minced
Juice of lemon
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions:
Season the Scallops:
Pat the scallops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
Cook the Scallops:
In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Add the scallops and sear for about 1-2 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Sauce:
In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the remaining tablespoon of butter and the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the lemon juice and stir to combine.
Combine and Serve:
Return the scallops to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them to reheat gently. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
