Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie
Ingredients:
1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
cup all-purpose flour
teaspoon baking powder
teaspoon salt
1 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts optional – walnuts or pecans
Directions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie plate and set it aside.
Cream the Butter and Sugars:
In a large mixing bowl, beat the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and softened butter together until creamy and smooth.
Add Eggs and Vanilla:
Beat in the eggs one at a time, making sure to mix well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
Add Chocolate and Nuts:
Fold in the chocolate chips and, if desired, the chopped nuts.
Fill and Bake:
Spread the cookie dough evenly into the prepared pie crust. Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool and Serve:
Let the pie cool on a wire rack before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
