Bourbon Chicken
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
1/2 cup bourbon
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp ginger, grated
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes optional for spice
Green onions for garnish
Instructions:
In a small bowl, whisk together bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned on all sides.
Pour the bourbon sauce over the chicken and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat and cook for another 10-15 minutes until the sauce thickens and the chicken is cooked through.
Garnish with green onions before serving.
