Best Snickerdoodles – Save This Recipe!
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened I use salted
2 cups white sugar, divided
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C.
In a bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter with 1 1/2 cups sugar until the mixture is pale yellow and fluffy about 2-3 minutes.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing until fully incorporated.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, about 1/2 cup at a time, until the dough forms.
In a small bowl, mix the remaining 1/2 cup sugar with the cinnamon.
Roll the dough into balls, about 1 3/4 inches in size, and roll each ball in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Place the dough balls on an ungreased baking sheet, spacing them about 3 inches apart.
Bake for 9-10 minutes or until the edges are set. Oven times may vary, so keep an eye on them!
