Peachy Bread Pudding with Caramel Sauce

Ingredients:

4 cups day-old bread, cubed

2 cups fresh or canned peaches, chopped

3 large eggs

1 1/2 cups milk

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp nutmeg

1/4 tsp salt

Caramel Sauce:

1/2 cup butter

1 cup brown sugar


1/2 cup heavy cream

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350F 175C.

Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and layer with cubed bread and peaches.

In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread and peaches.

Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden and set.

For the Caramel Sauce:

In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

Stir in brown sugar, cream, and vanilla, and simmer for 4-5 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Drizzle the warm caramel sauce over the bread pudding before serving.
