Homemade Churros with Chocolate Sauce
Ingredients:
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 cup water
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 large eggs
Vegetable oil for frying
Optional: Chocolate sauce or dulce de leche for dipping
Directions:
Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small dish; set aside.
In a saucepan, combine water, butter, and salt; melt over medium heat.
Add flour and mix until a dough forms; let cool.
Gradually mix in eggs until smooth.
Heat oil to 325F. Pipe dough into 6-inch strips, frying until golden 1-2 minutes per side.
Drain, coat in cinnamon sugar, and serve with chocolate sauce if desired.
