Sweet & Crunchy Candied Pecans
Ingredients:
1 cup pecan halves
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch of salt
Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Set your oven to 350F 175C.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup and to prevent sticking.
Prepare the Sugar Coating:
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and sugar together.
Stir continuously until the sugar is fully dissolved.
Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the cinnamon and a pinch of salt.
Coat the Pecans:
Place the pecan halves in the sugar mixture and toss until they are evenly coated.
Bake the Pecans:
Spread the coated pecans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even baking and prevent burning.
Cool and Enjoy:
Allow the pecans to cool completely on the baking sheet.
Once cooled, they will become crisp and ready for snacking or using as a topping for salads, desserts, or other dishes.
