Loaded Tater Tot Appetizer Cups
Ingredients:
4860 frozen tater tots approximately a 16-ounce bag
cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
cup sour cream
4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 green onions, sliced green parts only
Cooking spray
Directions:
Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 450F 230C.
Prepare the Muffin Pan: Lightly spray a muffin pan with cooking spray.
Arrange Tater Tots: Place 45 frozen tater tots into each muffin cup, depending on the size of your muffin pan.
Initial Baking: Bake the tater tots in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.
Form Tater Tot Cups: Remove the muffin pan from the oven. Using a shot glass or similar tool, press down on the tater tots in each cup to form a potato cup shape.
Second Baking: Return the muffin pan to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the tater tot cups are golden brown and crispy.
Add Cheese: Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle approximately 1 tablespoon of shredded cheddar cheese into each tater tot cup.
Melt Cheese: Place the pan back in the oven for 45 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
Cool Slightly: Transfer the tater tot cups to a serving platter and let them cool for about 5 minutes.
Garnish and Serve: Top each cup with a dollop of sour cream, a sprinkle of crumbled bacon, and sliced green onions. Serve warm and enjoy!
