Ingredients:

1 cup water

3 3/4 cups sugar

1 1/4 cups light corn syrup

1 tsp red food coloring

1-2 tsp cinnamon oil adjust to your desired spice level

Directions:

Prepare the Pan:

Butter a 15x10x1-inch sheet cake pan. Line it with parchment paper, then butter the parchment to prevent sticking.

Make the Candy Base:

In a large saucepan, combine water, sugar, corn syrup, and red food coloring. Stir the mixture over medium-high heat until the sugar begins to dissolve completely.

Heat to Hard Crack Stage:

Attach a candy thermometer to the side of the saucepan.

Bring the mixture to a boil, heating it until it reaches 300F hard crack stageabout 20 minutes. If the mixture begins to rise too close to the edge of the pan, briefly remove it from heat to avoid overflow.


Add Cinnamon:

Once the mixture reaches 300F, remove it from heat. Carefully stir in the cinnamon oil be cautious, as the aroma and heat can be intense!.

Quickly pour the candy mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Let it cool and harden for at least 4 hours.

Break and Dust:

Once the candy is fully set, dust the top with powdered sugar.

Flip the candy onto a cutting board, peel off the parchment paper, and use a sharp knife to break it into bite-sized pieces. Dust with additional powdered sugar if desired for a festive, frosted look.

Store:
