Carrot Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup grated carrots
1 cup sugar

Instructions:
Prepare the Oven and Pan: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. Grease and flour a cake pan, ensuring its ready for the batter.
Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated carrots, sugar, egg, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Stir until the mixture is smooth.
Add Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Stir until just combined; avoid overmixing.
Incorporate the Milk: Slowly stir in the milk, mixing until the batter is smooth and fully incorporated.
Pour and Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool and Serve: Let the cake cool completely in the pan before transferring it to a serving plate. Optionally, frost with your favorite cream cheese frosting or dust with powdered sugar for a simple finish.
