Orange Creamsicle Truffles
Ingredients:
1 cup white chocolate chips
1 tablespoon orange zest
1/4 cup unsalted butter
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Additional melted white chocolate for drizzling optional
Extra orange zest or white sprinkles for garnish
Instructions:
Prepare the Filling:
In a heatproof bowl, melt the white chocolate chips and butter together using a double boiler or microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring in between.
Once smooth, stir in the orange zest, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until fully combined.
Chill the Mixture:
Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then refrigerate for 1-2 hours or until firm enough to shape.
Shape the Truffles:
Scoop small amounts of the mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls. Place them on a parchment-lined tray.
Coat the Truffles:
Melt additional white chocolate if desired for coating. Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate and place it back on the parchment paper.
Decorate:
Before the coating hardens, garnish the truffles with additional orange zest or white sprinkles for a festive touch.
Set and Serve:
Let the truffles set at room temperature or in the refrigerator until the coating is firm. Serve and enjoy these zesty, creamy treats!
