Homemade Vanilla Cinnamon Milk Tea
Ingredients:
2 black tea bags or 2 teaspoons loose-leaf black tea
1 cup water
1 cup milk dairy or non-dairy
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup optional
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Cinnamon stick optional, for garnish
Directions:
Brew the Tea
In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Once boiling, remove it from heat and steep the tea bags in the hot water for 3-5 minutes, depending on your preferred tea strength.
Prepare the Milk Mixture
While the tea is steeping, heat the milk in another saucepan over medium-low heat until warm, but not boiling. Stir in the honey or maple syrup if using, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon. Whisk until everything is well combined.
Combine Tea and Milk
Remove the tea bags from the brewed tea and slowly pour the tea into the milk mixture, stirring gently to blend the flavors.
Serve
Pour the tea into a mug and garnish with a cinnamon stick for added flavor and an elegant presentation.
