Caramel Turtles Brownies
Ingredients:
1 box brownie mix plus ingredients listed on the box
1/2 cup caramel sauce
1 1/2 cups pecans, chopped
1 cup chocolate chips
1 tbsp heavy cream optional, for smoother caramel
1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350F 175C and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
Prepare the brownie mix according to the package instructions add eggs, oil, and water and pour into the prepared pan.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
While brownies are baking, melt the caramel sauce with heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly. Once melted, add vanilla extract.
Remove the brownies from the oven and allow them to cool slightly.
Drizzle the warm caramel sauce over the top of the brownies.
Sprinkle with chopped pecans and chocolate chips.
Return brownies to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the chocolate chips have melted and everything is bubbly.
Cool completely before cutting into squares.
