Valentinos Pizza Crust
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups warm water 110F/45C
2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
1 tsp sugar
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder optional
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes, until the yeast becomes foamy.
In a separate large bowl, mix the flour, salt, and optional garlic powder.
Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 7-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise for 1-1.5 hours or until doubled in size.
Preheat oven to 475F 245C.
Punch down the dough and roll it out to your desired shape and thickness.
Add your preferred toppings and bake for 10-12 minutes until the crust is golden and crispy.
