Sour Raspberry Valentine Raspberry Gin Sour
Ingredients:
2 oz London Dry Gin or Vodka for a milder flavor
oz fresh lemon juice
oz simple syrup
oz raspberry syrup see below for homemade recipe
1 egg white or oz unsalted aquafaba for a vegan option
Fresh raspberries for garnish
Ice cubes
Directions:
Chill the Glass:
Fill a coupe or martini glass with ice and water. Set aside to chill while preparing the cocktail.
Prepare the Cocktail:
In a cocktail shaker, muddle a few fresh raspberries to release their juice.
Add the gin or vodka, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, raspberry syrup, and egg white or aquafaba to the shaker.
Dry Shake:
Secure the lid and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds without ice. This helps to emulsify the egg white, creating a frothy texture.
Shake with Ice:
Add ice cubes to the shaker and shake again until well-chilled.
Strain and Serve:
Discard the ice and water from the chilled glass.
Double strain the cocktail into the glass to remove any pulp or ice shards.

Garnish with fresh raspberries or a lemon twist.
