Ingredients
For the Cocoa:
2 cups whole milk or dairy-free milk of choice
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 tablespoon sugar adjust to taste
teaspoon peppermint extract
teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Chilled Version Optional:
cup ice cubes
For Toppings & Garnish:
cup whipped cream
1 tablespoon sparkling sugar or cool sugar crystals
Fresh mint leaves optional
Directions
1 Prepare the Cocoa
In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until warm but not boiling.
Whisk in the cocoa powder and sugar until completely dissolved and smooth.
Remove from heat and stir in peppermint extract and vanilla extract.
2 Make It Chilled Optional
If you prefer a cold, frothy version, allow the cocoa to cool completely.
Blend it with ice cubes until smooth and creamy.
3 Layer and Serve
For a layered effect, pour the cocoa into your favorite mug or glass, letting it settle.
If making a cold version, chill for a few minutes to enhance layering.
