Iced Butterfly Pea Flower Tea Latte
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon dried butterfly pea flowers or 5-6 fresh flowers
1 cup hot water
cup milk dairy or plant-based
1-2 teaspoons honey or preferred sweetener optional
Ice cubes
1 teaspoon lemon juice optional, for color change effect
Directions:
Prepare the Butterfly Pea Tea:
Steep the butterfly pea flowers in hot water for 5-7 minutes.
Strain and let the tea cool to room temperature.
Sweeten the Tea Optional:
If desired, stir in honey or sweetener while the tea is warm.
Froth the Milk:
Froth the milk using a frother, blender, or by shaking it in a sealed jar.
Assemble the Latte:
Fill a glass with ice cubes.
Pour the cooled tea over the ice.
Slowly add the frothed milk to create a layered effect.
Optional Color Change:
Add lemon juice to transform the drink from blue to purple.
Garnish and Serve:
Garnish with butterfly pea flowers if desired.
