Prepare yourself for a slice of pure bliss! This Twix Cheesecake merges creamy goodness with delightful bursts of chocolate, caramel, and crunchy cookie bits!
Ingredients:
– 24 oz 680g cream cheese, softened
– cup 120ml heavy cream
– 1 cup 175g milk chocolate chips, melted
– cup 115g unsalted butter, melted
– 1 cup 200g granulated sugar
– 4-5 Twix bars, chopped
– 2 cups 200g crushed chocolate graham crackers or digestive biscuits
– 3 large eggs
– cup 120g caramel sauce
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 1 cup 120g caramel sauce for topping
– Additional Twix bars, chopped for garnish
Instructions:
1. Begin by preheating your oven to 325F 160C.
2. In a medium bowl, combine the crushed graham crackers and melted butter. Mix thoroughly until combined. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch 23cm springform pan. Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then remove and set aside to cool.
3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar together until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
4. Add the eggs one by one, ensuring you beat well after each addition.
5. Mix in the vanilla extract and heavy cream, blending until fully incorporated.
6. Gently fold in the caramel sauce and chopped Twix bars into the cream mixture.
7. Pour this luscious cheesecake filling over the prepared crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.
8. For the baking process, place the springform pan inside a larger baking dish. Fill the outer dish with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the springform pan this is the water bath method.
9. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until the edges are set while the center retains a slight jiggle.
10. Once done, turn off the oven and crack the door open. Allow the cheesecake to cool inside the oven for one hour.
11. After this cooling period, carefully remove the cheesecake from the oven and allow it to cool completely at room temperature. Then cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
12. When ready to serve, spread a layer of caramel sauce over the top of the chilled cheesecake. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the caramel layer and sprinkle on additional chopped Twix bars for a decorative finish.
13. Slice the cheesecake into pieces and enjoy this incredible combination of creamy and crunchy deliciousness!
