Strawberry Crunch Brownies
Treat yourself to a delightful blend of fudgy brownies topped with a crunchy strawberry twist! These easy-to-make treats are perfect for any celebration or just because!
Ingredients:
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
– 1 box 18.5 oz brownie mix
– 1/4 cup vegetable oil
– 1/4 cup water
– 1 cup strawberry-flavored cereal like Strawberry Crunch or Strawberry Special K
– 2 large eggs
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 2 tbsp strawberry jam or preserves
– 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions:
1. Begin by preheating your oven to 350F 175C. Prepare a 9×9-inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper for easy removal.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, vegetable oil, water, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir the mixture until everything is well blended for a rich, fudgy batter.
3. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, using a spatula to evenly spread it out and smooth the top.
4. Place the pan in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center; it should come out with only a few moist crumbs attached. Once baked, remove from the oven and let the brownies cool completely in the pan.
5. While the brownies cool, make the delectable strawberry crunch topping. In a food processor or blender, pulse the strawberry cereal until it transforms into small crumbs, ensuring some larger bits remain for added texture.
6. In a separate small bowl, mix the crushed cereal with the melted butter, powdered sugar, and strawberry jam. Stir well until all ingredients are evenly coated in a sweet, sticky mixture.
7. Once the brownies have adequately cooled, generously sprinkle the strawberry crunch topping over the surface, allowing it to cover evenly.
8. Cut the brownies into squares, serve them to friends and family, and relish this irresistible combination of creamy brownie and crispy strawberry topping!
