Salted Caramel Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookies
Treat your taste buds to the ultimate cookie experience with these gooey salted caramel pecan chocolate chip cookies! Perfectly sweet, nutty, and oh-so-delicious!
Ingredients:
– 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
– 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
– 3/4 cup granulated sugar
– 1 teaspoon baking soda
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 cup chopped pecans
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 2 large eggs
– 3/4 cup salted caramel sauce
– Flakey sea salt, for sprinkling
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375F 190C and prepare two baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper.
2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside for later use.
3. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract using an electric mixer. Continue mixing until the mixture is light and fluffy.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition to ensure everything is well combined.
5. Gradually mix in the dry flour mixture until just combined; avoid overmixing for the best texture.
6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans, creating a wonderful blend of flavors and textures in your cookie dough.
7. Using a heaping tablespoon, drop cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each dollop. Press a small well into the center of each cookie and fill it with a teaspoon of salted caramel sauce. If you like, cover the caramel with a small bit of dough.
8. Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown. As soon as you remove them from the oven, sprinkle the tops with flakey sea salt for that perfect finishing touch.
9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
