Ingredients:

1 cup sugar for caramel


2 cups whole milk

1 cup heavy cream

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 325F 160C. Melt sugar over medium heat to make caramel, then pour into ramekins.

In a saucepan, heat milk and cream. Whisk eggs, sugar, and vanilla in a bowl, then slowly combine with the heated milk mixture.

Pour the custard over the caramel in the ramekins.

Place ramekins in a water bath and bake for 1 hour until set. Chill for 4 hours before serving.
