Sweet Peach Iced Tea
Ingredients:
1 family-size tea bag
4 cups water for brewing tea
cup sugar
cup honey
4 cups frozen peaches
4 cups cold water for dilution
Ice cubes for serving
Fresh peach slices & mint optional, for garnish
Directions:
Brew the Tea: In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and add the family-size tea bag. Let it steep for about 5-7 minutes, then discard the tea bag.
Prepare the Peach Syrup: In another saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, honey, and frozen peaches. Stir occasionally, allowing the peaches to soften and release their juices. Simmer for about 10 minutes, then mash the peaches slightly with a spoon.
Strain the Syrup: Pour the peach mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl or pitcher, pressing down to extract all the liquid. Discard the solids.
Combine the Tea & Syrup: In a large pitcher, mix the brewed tea with the peach syrup. Stir well, then add 4 cups of cold water to dilute.
Chill & Serve: Refrigerate the tea until cold. When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour in the sweet peach tea. Garnish with fresh peach slices and mint if desired.
