Quinoa Pizza Burgers
Ingredients:
– 1 cup cooked quinoa
– cup bread crumbs
– 1 egg, beaten
– cup shredded mozzarella cheese
– cup marinara sauce
– 1 teaspoon dried oregano
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 4 slices mozzarella cheese for topping
– 4 burger buns
– Extra marinara sauce for serving
Directions:
1. Prepare the Patties:
– In a large bowl, combine cooked quinoa, bread crumbs, egg, shredded mozzarella, marinara sauce, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into 4 patties.
2. Cook the Patties:
– Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and firm.
3. Top with Cheese:
– Add a slice of mozzarella on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking and cover the pan to melt the cheese.
4. Assemble the Burgers:
– Place the patties on burger buns, top with extra marinara sauce, and serve hot!
