Orange, Honey and Soy Chicken

A sweet and savory chicken dish with a tangy twistperfect for a quick and flavorful dinner!

Ingredients:

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 tbsp olive oil

1/4 cup soy sauce low sodium

1/4 cup honey

1/2 cup fresh orange juice

1 tsp orange zest

1 clove garlic minced

1 tsp grated fresh ginger optional


Salt and pepper to taste

1 tsp cornstarch optional, for thickening

Green onions chopped, for garnish

Instructions:

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then cook for 6-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the soy sauce, honey, orange juice, orange zest, garlic, and ginger. Stir well to combine and bring to a simmer.

Let the sauce cook for 4-5 minutes, reducing slightly. If you want the sauce thicker, mix the cornstarch with a little water and add to the sauce, stirring until thickened.

Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over it. Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to coat the chicken in the glaze.

Garnish with chopped green onions and serve with rice, steamed veggies, or a simple salad.
