Ingredients:

For the Meat Sauce:

– 1 pound ground beef

– 1 pound Italian sausage

– 1 small onion, diced

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 jar 24 ounces marinara sauce

– Salt and pepper to taste

For the Cheese Mixture:

– 8 ounces cream cheese, softened

– 1 cup ricotta cheese

– 1 cup cottage cheese

– 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

– 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

– 2 tablespoons butter for greasing the baking dish

For the Pasta:

– 1 pound spaghetti

– 2 tablespoons butter melted

Directions:


1. Cook the Spaghetti:

– Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and toss with the melted butter. Set aside.

2. Prepare the Meat Sauce:

– In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, Italian sausage, diced onion, and minced garlic over medium heat until the meat is browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.

– Stir in the marinara sauce and season with salt and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for 10 minutes to develop flavor.

3. Prepare the Cheese Mixture:

– In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, ricotta cheese, cottage cheese, and 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese. Mix until smooth and creamy.

5. Bake the Spaghetti:

– Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese and the grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the meat sauce.

– Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
