Mamaws Chicken and Rice Casserole
Ingredients:
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
1 cup uncooked long-grain rice
1 can 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
2 cups chicken broth
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese optional, for topping
Instructions:
1 Preheat your oven to 375F 190C and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2 In a large mixing bowl, combine the rice, cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper. Mix well.
3 Spread the shredded chicken evenly in the baking dish. Pour the rice mixture over the chicken and spread evenly.
4 Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
5 Optional: Uncover, sprinkle cheddar cheese on top, and bake for an additional 10 minutes until melted.
6 Let cool slightly, serve, and enjoy!
