Instructions
Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper to prevent the cookies from sticking.
Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes). This step helps create a soft, airy texture in the cookies.
Add Wet Ingredients: Add the egg and vanilla extract to the creamed butter and sugar, mixing until fully incorporated.
Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Slowly add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
