Irresistible Baked Sweet and Sour Chicken Thighs The Perfect Sweet & Tangy Dinner!

Juicy chicken thighs coated in a sticky, flavorful sweet and sour glazethis easy dish is perfect for any night of the week! Serve it with rice, veggies, or noodles for a complete meal.

Ingredients:

1 kg 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs

1/3 cup honey

1/4 cup ketchup

2 tbsp soy sauce

2 tbsp rice vinegar or white vinegar

籠 1 tbsp olive oil

龍 2 garlic cloves, minced

1/2 tsp red chili flakes optional for a kick!

龎 1 tbsp cornstarch 2 tbsp water to thicken the sauce


1/2 cup pineapple chunks optional, for extra sweetness!

蓼 Salt and pepper to taste

How to Make It:

1 Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 375F 190C and lightly grease a baking dish.

2 Make the sweet & sour sauce: In a small saucepan, mix honey, ketchup, soy sauce, vinegar, olive oil, garlic, and chili flakes. Heat on medium until combined, then stir in the cornstarch slurry and simmer until thickened.

3 Prepare the chicken: Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper. Arrange them in the baking dish and pour the sauce over, making sure the chicken is coated evenly. Add pineapple chunks for extra flavor if desired.

4 Bake to perfection: Bake for 2530 minutes, basting with the sauce halfway through. For a caramelized finish, broil on high for 23 minutes at the end.

5 Garnish & serve: Sprinkle with green onions or sesame seeds and serve hot with steamed rice or your favorite side!

Pro Tip: The sauce is so good, you might want to double it for extra drizzling!
