Hello, dear friends! Theres nothing quite like the aroma of freshly baked cookies wafting through the house. Today, Im thrilled to share a recipe that captures the essence of comfort and nostalgia
Time & Servings:
– Prep Time: 15 minutes
– Cook Time: 10 minutes
– Total Time: 25 minutes
– Servings: 24 cookies
Ingredients:
– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 1 cups granulated sugar
– 2 large eggs
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
– 1 teaspoon baking soda
– teaspoon salt
– 3 tablespoons granulated sugar for coating
– 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon for coating
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375F 190C. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and 1 cups of granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
In a small bowl, combine the 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon to create the coating.
Using a tablespoon, scoop out the dough and roll into balls. Roll each ball in the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat evenly.
Place the coated dough balls onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart to allow for spreading.
Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft. Avoid overbaking to maintain their chewy texture.
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely. Enjoy with a glass of cold milk! 拏
