Indulge in Decadence with Classic Black Forest Cake!

Hello, cake lovers! If youre in the mood for a dessert thats rich, indulgent, and absolutely show-stopping, you have to try this Black Forest Cake! With layers of moist chocolate cake, fluffy whipped cream, and luscious cherries, this dessert brings together all the flavors of pure indulgence.

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 cups white sugar

cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

2 large eggs

1 cup milk

cup vegetable oil

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 cup boiling water


1 jar 24 oz pitted sour cherries, drained

2 cups heavy cream

cup confectioners sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract for whipped cream

1 dark chocolate bar for garnish optional

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350F 175C and grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

In a large bowl, stir together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla; beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Stir in boiling water batter will be thin. Pour into prepared pans.

Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pans to wire racks to cool completely.

Whip the heavy cream with confectioners sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.

Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Top with half of the whipped cream and half of the cherries. Add the second layer and repeat with remaining cream and cherries.

Garnish with chocolate shavings from the dark chocolate bar if desired.
