Honey Garlic Chicken Recipe
Tender Honey Garlic Chicken with a Savory-Sweet Glaze
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
1/4 cup honey
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
2 tablespoons chopped green onions for garnish
Sesame seeds for garnish
Directions:
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and minced garlic to make the sauce.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken thighs and season with ground black pepper. Cook for 5-6 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
Pour the honey-garlic sauce into the skillet. Bring to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Let the chicken cook in the sauce for about 5 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.
If using red pepper flakes, sprinkle them over the chicken for added heat.
Once the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce has a sticky, glaze-like consistency, remove from heat.
Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
