Homemade Breakfast Chicken Sausage

A healthier, flavorful way to start your morning!

Ingredients:

1 lb ground chicken or turkey

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tsp sage

1/2 tsp thyme

1/2 tsp rosemary finely chopped or crushed

1/4 tsp garlic powder


1/4 tsp onion powder

1/8 tsp ground nutmeg

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes optional, for a bit of spice

1-2 tbsp olive oil for cooking

Instructions:

In a large bowl, mix the ground chicken with all the seasonings until well combined.

Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each into a small patty.

Heat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes per side or until golden brown and fully cooked 165F/74C internal temperature.

Serve warm alongside eggs, toast, or your favorite breakfast dishes.
