Gorgonzola-Stuffed Chicken Breasts Wrapped in Bacon
A decadent and flavorful dish featuring creamy Gorgonzola cheese and crispy bacon!
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
4 oz Gorgonzola cheese crumbled
8 slices of bacon
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Toothpicks
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375F 190C.
Carefully cut a pocket into the side of each chicken breast, being careful not to slice all the way through.
Stuff each chicken pocket with Gorgonzola cheese and secure the edges with toothpicks.
Rub the outside of the chicken breasts with olive oil and season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Wrap each chicken breast with 2 slices of bacon, overlapping slightly, and secure with toothpicks if needed.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the bacon-wrapped chicken on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Transfer the skillet to the oven or use a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked.
Remove the toothpicks and serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
