8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 cup crushed cinnamon cereal like Cinnamon Toast Crunch

1/4 cup powdered sugar


1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

20 wonton wrappers

Oil for frying

Optional: Whipped cream or chocolate sauce for dipping

Instructions

In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon until smooth.

Lay out the wonton wrappers on a clean surface. Place about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each wrapper.

Fold the wonton wrappers around the filling, sealing the edges with a little water to form a tight seal.

In a shallow bowl, mix the crushed cinnamon cereal, powdered sugar, and remaining ground cinnamon.

Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350F 175C. Fry the wonton-wrapped cheesecake bites in batches for about 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

Remove the bites from the oil and immediately roll them in the cinnamon-sugar cereal mixture until well coated.

Let them cool slightly before serving with whipped cream or chocolate sauce for dipping.
