Decadent Chocolate Pecan Cake
Ingredients:
For the Cake Layers:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 3/4 cups granulated sugar 籠
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 籠
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda 籠
1 teaspoon salt 蓼
2 large eggs 讀
1 cup whole milk 拏
1/2 cup vegetable oil 㮝
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water
For the Chocolate Frosting:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened 杻
3 cups powdered sugar 籠
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup heavy cream 拏
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Decoration:
1/2 cup chopped pecans 樂
Chocolate truffles
Chocolate shavings

Instructions:
1 Prepare the Cake Layers:
1. Preheat the oven to 175C 350F and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
4. Gradually stir in the boiling water. The batter will be thin.
5. Divide the batter evenly between the pans and bake for 30-35 minutes.
6. Cool completely before removing from pans.
2 Make the Frosting:
1. Beat the butter until creamy.
2. Gradually add powdered sugar and cocoa powder.
3. Slowly mix in heavy cream and vanilla until fluffy.
3 Assemble the Cake:
1. Place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread frosting over the top.
2. Add the second cake layer and frost the top and sides evenly.
4 Decorate:
1. Press chocolate shavings along the bottom edge of the cake.
2. Create a border on top with frosting and decorate with pecans and truffles.
5 Serve:
