Chicken and Broccoli Stir Fry
A quick and healthy dinner packed with flavor and nutrition!
Ingredients:
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast sliced into thin strips
2 cups broccoli florets
2 tbsp vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic minced
1/4 cup soy sauce low sodium recommended
2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 cup water
1 tsp sesame oil optional
Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions:
Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the chicken strips and cook until golden and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the remaining oil and stir-fry the broccoli florets for 3-4 minutes until tender but still crisp.
Add the minced garlic and stir for 1 minute until fragrant.
In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, cornstarch, water, and sesame oil if using. Pour the sauce into the skillet.
Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss with the broccoli and sauce. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Garnish with sesame seeds and serve with steamed rice or noodles.
