Basic Baked Spaghetti

Ingredients:

12 oz spaghetti, cooked and drained

1 lb ground beef or turkey

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

24 oz marinara sauce

1 tsp Italian seasoning

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 egg


Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

1 Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2 In a large skillet, cook the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until browned. Add the onion and garlic, sautéing until soft.

3 Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for 10-15 minutes.

4 In a bowl, whisk the egg and stir it into the cooked spaghetti.

5 Spread half of the spaghetti in the bottom of the prepared baking dish, then layer with half of the sauce and half of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers.

6 Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top.

7 Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

8 Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
