Apple Crisp
Ingredients:
– 4 cups tart apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
– 1 tablespoon lemon juice
– 1/2 cup white sugar
– 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
– 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
– 1/2 cup rolled oats
– 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
– 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
– 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
– 1/3 cup butter, melted
Directions:
1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
2. Prepare the Apples: In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice, white sugar, and ground cinnamon. Spread the apple mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
3. Make the Topping: In another bowl, combine the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, baking powder, and baking soda. Pour the melted butter over the mixture and stir until crumbly.
4. Top the Apples: Sprinkle the crumbly topping evenly over the apples.
5. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
6. Serve: Let the apple crisp cool slightly before serving. Enjoy it warm, preferably with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
