Smoky BBQ Brisket & Cheddar Melts

Ingredients:

1 lb smoked brisket, thinly sliced

4 slices sourdough bread

4 tbsp butter, softened

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 cup smoked gouda cheese, shredded

1/4 cup caramelized onions

1/3 cup BBQ sauce

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Directions:


Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.

Butter one side of each slice of sourdough bread.

In a bowl, mix brisket with BBQ sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, and smoked paprika.

Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, on the skillet.

Layer with cheddar cheese, brisket mixture, caramelized onions, and smoked gouda.

Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side up.

Cook for 3-5 minutes per side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Remove from heat, slice in half, and serve warm.
