Chili Cheese Dog Sandwich
Ingredients:
For the Chili:
lb ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup tomato sauce
cup beef broth
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon chili powder
teaspoon cumin
teaspoon smoked paprika
teaspoon salt
teaspoon black pepper
teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
For the Sandwich:
4 hot dog buns, toasted
4 beef hot dogs
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
cup diced red onion
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley optional
Directions:
Prepare the Chili:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease.
Add chopped onion and garlic, cooking until soft and fragrant.
Stir in tomato sauce, beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and spices. Simmer for 15 minutes until thickened.
Prepare the Hot Dogs:
Grill or pan-fry the hot dogs until they are heated through and slightly charred.
Toast the buns lightly for extra crunch.
Assemble the Sandwiches:
Place each hot dog in a toasted bun.
Spoon a generous amount of chili over the top.
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top, letting it melt slightly.
Garnish with diced red onion and fresh parsley. Serve immediately.
