Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Cheesy Breadsticks
Ingredients:
1 package pizza dough store-bought or homemade
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 pound ribeye steak, thinly sliced
1/2 onion, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 1/2 cups shredded provolone cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Directions:
Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400F 200C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cook the steak and veggies: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak and cook until browned, about 4-5 minutes. Remove the steak and set aside. In the same skillet, add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper, and cook for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
Assemble the breadsticks: Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangle. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella and provolone cheese on the dough. Evenly spread the cooked steak mixture over the cheese, then top with the remaining cheese.
Form the breadsticks: Carefully roll the dough into a log, pinching the edges to seal the filling inside. Slice the roll into 1-inch pieces.
Bake: Arrange the breadsticks on the prepared baking sheet, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle with Italian seasoning. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve: Serve hot, with extra marinara sauce for dipping if desired.
