Crockpot Ravioli Lasagna

Ingredients:

1 25 oz bag of frozen ravioli cheese or beef

1 24 oz jar of marinara or pasta sauce

1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage optional

1 cup ricotta cheese optional, for extra creaminess

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried basil

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil or parsley for garnish


Directions:

If using ground meat, cook it in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.

Spray the inside of your crockpot with cooking spray.

Spoon a thin layer of marinara sauce at the bottom of the crockpot.

Add a single layer of frozen ravioli.

Top with a portion of cooked meat if using, spoonfuls of ricotta if using, shredded mozzarella, and a sprinkle of parmesan.

Repeat layers: sauce, ravioli, meat, cheesesuntil all ingredients are used, finishing with cheese on top.

Cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours or HIGH for 2 hours, or until ravioli is tender and heated through.

Garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving.
