Cabbage Roll Skillet

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 small head green cabbage, chopped

1 15 oz can diced tomatoes

1 8 oz can tomato sauce

1 tablespoon tomato paste

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup cooked rice


1 tablespoon olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Directions:

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat.

Add diced onion and garlic to the skillet and sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.

Stir in chopped cabbage and cook for 57 minutes, until it begins to wilt.

Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.

Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes until cabbage is tender.

Stir in cooked rice and heat through for another 23 minutes.

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
