Cinnamon Apple Cake Hanukkah Cake
A warm and comforting treat perfect for Hanukkah celebrations!
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 cups granulated sugar divided
1/4 cup orange juice
2 tsp vanilla extract
3 large eggs
4 large apples peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking dish or a tube pan.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a large bowl, mix the oil, 1 1/2 cups sugar, orange juice, vanilla, and eggs until smooth. Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until fully combined.
In a separate bowl, toss the apple slices with the remaining 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon.
Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan. Layer half of the cinnamon apple mixture over the batter. Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the apples.
Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let cool before serving. Optional: Dust with powdered sugar for an elegant touch.
