Classic Tiramisu
The traditional Italian treat with layers of creamy mascarpone and coffee-soaked ladyfingers!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups strong brewed coffee cooled
1/4 cup coffee liqueur e.g., Kahlúa
2 packs 7 oz each ladyfingers
8 oz mascarpone cheese softened
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
Unsweetened cocoa powder for dusting
Dark chocolate shavings optional
Instructions:
In a shallow dish, combine the brewed coffee with coffee liqueur.
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring theyre moist but not soggy, and arrange them in a single layer at the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish.
In a large bowl, whip the mascarpone, heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and thick.
Spread half of the mascarpone mixture evenly over the coffee-dipped ladyfingers.
Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers and top with the remaining mascarpone mixture.
Refrigerate for 4 hours, or overnight for better flavor.
Just before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and garnish with chocolate shavings if desired.
