Emilys Famous Tiramisu
A family-favorite recipe, made extra creamy and indulgent with a special twist!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups strong brewed coffee cooled
1/4 cup coffee liqueur e.g., Kahlúa
1 pack 7 oz ladyfingers
8 oz mascarpone cheese softened
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp cocoa powder
Dark chocolate curls or grated chocolate optional
Instructions:
Brew the coffee and let it cool, then mix it with the coffee liqueur in a shallow dish.
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are just moistened dont soak them, and layer them in the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish.
In a mixing bowl, beat mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until the mixture forms stiff peaks.
Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
Repeat the process with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone cream.
Refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 4 hours, but overnight is best.
Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and garnish with dark chocolate curls or grated chocolate.
