Chocolate Orange Cheesecake
This deliciously creamy Chocolate Orange Cheesecake combines a rich Oreo crust with a vibrant orange-flavored cheesecake filling, all topped off with a smooth dark chocolate ganache. Perfect for any celebration!
Ingredients:
Oreo Crust:
200g Oreo cookies about 20 cookies
75g unsalted butter, melted 杻
Orange Cheesecake Filling:
500g cream cheese, softened 燎
80g sour cream
120g caster sugar
1 tbsp orange zest
80ml orange juice
1.5 tsp vanilla extract
3 large eggs 讀
Chocolate Ganache:
120g dark chocolate, finely chopped
150ml heavy cream 拏
15g honey optional
Instructions:
1 Prepare the Crust: Line the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper. Blend Oreo cookies into fine crumbs, mix with melted butter, and press firmly into the pan. Freeze the crust.
2 Orange Cheesecake Filling: Preheat oven to 140C 285F. In a large bowl, blend the cream cheese and sour cream until smooth. Add sugar, orange zest, orange juice, and vanilla. Stir in eggs one by one until combined, avoiding overmixing.
3 Assemble and Bake: Pour cheesecake filling over the chilled crust, tapping to release air bubbles. Bake on the ovens lowest rack for 60-70 minutes. Turn off oven, crack open door, and let cheesecake cool inside for 1 hour, then cool at room temp for another hour. Refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.
4 Chocolate Ganache: Heat cream with honey until it just simmers. Pour over chopped chocolate and let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth. Pour warm ganache over the chilled cheesecake, spreading to the edges. Let the ganache set in the fridge.
5 Serve and Garnish: Decorate with orange zest or chocolate orange slices as desired. Enjoy this flavorful treat! 籠
