Ingredients:

– 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

– 1 teaspoon baking powder

– 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 cup chopped walnuts

– 1 cup diced apples

– 1/2 cup brown sugar

– 1/4 cup melted butter

– 1/2 cup milk

– 1 large egg

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1/2 cup caramel sauce for drizzling

Instructions:


1. Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a muffin tin with paper liners.

2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and baking soda.

3. In another bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, egg, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Avoid over-mixing.

5. Fold in the diced apples and chopped walnuts gently.

6. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full.

7. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

8. Allow the muffins to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

9. Once cooled, drizzle caramel sauce over the top of each muffin.
