Ingredients:

For Fried Chicken:

4 chicken breasts or thighs

1 cup buttermilk

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp garlic powder

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp black pepper

Oil for frying

For Gravy:

2 tbsp butter

2 tbsp all-purpose flour

1 1/2 cups chicken broth

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/4 tsp salt

Mashed Potatoes:

4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced

1/2 cup milk

2 tbsp butter

Salt and pepper to taste

Corn:

2 fresh corn cobs or 1 can of sweet corn


1 tbsp butter

Salt to taste

Instructions:

1 Prepare the Chicken:

Marinate chicken in buttermilk, paprika, and garlic powder for at least 30 minutes.

Coat the chicken in a flour mixture seasoned with salt and pepper.

Deep fry in hot oil until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.

2 Make the Gravy:

Melt butter in a pan and whisk in flour until smooth.

Gradually add chicken broth while whisking until the mixture thickens.

Season with salt and pepper.

3 Mashed Potatoes:

Boil potatoes until tender, then mash with butter and milk.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4 Sweet Corn:

Boil corn cobs or heat canned corn. Add butter and a pinch of salt.

Plating: Arrange fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and sweet corn on a plate. Pour the gravy over the chicken for a creamy finish!
